Being raised in Connecticut, early in life Michael took great interest in both mountain skiing and scuba diving. At a young age he joined the US Navy, first being stationed in Morocco for two years and then in the Blue Angels flight demo squadron for another two years. After serving in the Navy, Michael moved to San Francisco. He studied business at San Francisco State University, followed by further study of Art and Photography at the Academy of Arts and Brooks Institute in Santa Barbara, California. With his skills as an accomplished photographer, Michael turned his talents to his interest in finer homes and businesses, where he lends his skills and abilities in composition and color to create among the highest quality painting and decorating projects in San Francisco. He is now expanding his services internationally. Michael currently resides in the countryside of West Marin with his two children Ariella and Sebastian;and

Well-versed in his craft, Michael Bellingham is also an accomplished sailor and adventurer, and is known among his colleagues as a poet and collector of fine sailboats and automobiles. Two favorites are his 40 ft. 1965 yawl and 1967 series II A Land Rover, both of which he restored to their original splendor, and that have received awards in the San Francisco Bay area as well as internationally.
